The Awards Gala saluted Myrtle S. Potter and Genentech, a company that is a leader in the development of cancer fighting drugs. Dr. Helene Gayle, HIV/AIDS Senior Advisor of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, delivered the evening's keynote address.

Third Annual Founder's Award Luncheon
The event held on June 5 honored Sandra R. Hernandez, MD, Haile T. Debas, MD, and Arthur H. Coleman, MD (in memoriam) at the Hotel Nikko in San Francisco.

Second Annual Founder's Award Luncheon
The luncheon, organized to support NMF and recognize a former NMF scholar, Lonnie R. Bristow, M.D., M.A.C.P, who has dedicated his career to addressing the health care needs of underrepresented communities, raised $97,000 for NMF activities in California.
